ViaTalk Review

ViaTalk Offers a Great Deal On Their Yearly Plan

ViaTalk has been around for longer than most other VoIP providers, and though they do not equal Vonage's customer base, they are still a very solid player in the industry. ViaTalk shines especially in the area of pricing. Their current offer is one of the cheapest available - two years of service for only $189. This comes out to only $7.88/month for unlimited VoIP access.

If you don't want to pay for a year at once, their $15.75/mo unlimited plan is still 20-30% cheaper than most comparable providers and comes with 60 minutes of free international calling. If you make more frequent international calls, you can add on unlimited calling to the top 60 countries for only $8.95 more per month.

ViaTalk has recently upgraded their control panel, and it now functions better than ever, allowing users to easily control the many features they provide, including advanced voicemail, call hunt groups, and call recording. In addition, they recently developed a mobile app that allows you to use their service from any internet-enabled cell phone. With their recent service upgrades, ViaTalk's pricing and options certainly warrant giving their service a look.

ViaTalk Review:

Very unprofessional customer service, signal quality mostly unacceptable. Once I was disconnected since I missed or never get email for due fee of $3 that they tried to charge CC that was renewed. I found it after a couple of days that my phone is disconnected. I had to call 911 once and I was connected somewhere looks like Eastern Europe, it took me almost 15 minutes to reach local crew (imagine if this was real emergency). After several frustrations with customer service and billing issues I canceled service and it is more than month I still do not get refund, each time I call they said it will be in two three days.

Have had service for 9 months and have been very happy. There are times when the service will stop working for a few hours but cell phones have been able to cover. Service since upgrade has been better with fewer service disruptions. Service for us has been as good as it got with Sunrocket. Had Net2phone between Sunrocket and ViaTalk and that was a disaster. Will stay with Viatalk for as long as they exist if they keep up like this.

We have had it for a few months with tons of problems including: dropped calls, poor sound when you answer, delayed sound, calls don't go through, The support is horrible, they are rude, and are not able to fix the problems. They blame everyone and everything they can think of except for something that can be their own fault. Hope the cancellation goes ok Rates may seem cheap but so is the company.

ViaTalk is OK until they need you as customer. After that their services (phone and customer-service) are terrible. Agents over the phone sounds so rude and makes you feel that you are getting service for free. Please think twice for this provider.

Don't try this one! We have had it for a few years with tons of problems that include: dropped calls, people can't hear us when we answer, calls don't go through, delayed sound so you feel like a newscast where they are far away and you don't hear the other person until a few seconds later and they don't hear you until a few seconds later either, which causes interrupting each other constantly, sometimes they can hardly hear you due to low volume somehow, which is not the phone's fault, the list goes on. The support is horrible, they are rude, and are not able to fix the problems. They blame everyone and everything they can think of except for something that can be their own fault. We are looking for a new service right now! Hope the cancellation goes ok as I see reviews that state it can be difficult as well. Look elsewhere. Rates may seem cheap but so is the company.

ViaTalk Review:

This service is always on with no hiccups. I am a former VONAGE customer. When compared to the big names on the market this company sure competes. Seems like others don't agree. With a descent internet connection (I have 10mbps down / 1mbps up) this company will perform. I send faxes and run my home alarm off of this with no problems. Customer service is great and always there when you need them. They have a call back feature that can't be beat during high call volume days. Second free cloned line is a wonderful feature. Its like having a second phone line but with one number. You may be turned off when you see that to take advantage of the BOGO deal you have to fork out close to 200.00 up front but there is no contract and if you want to cancel anytime within the year you get your money back of the prorated months you didn't use. Give this company a try and you will not be disappointed. Minimum connection is 69kpbs up and down. The connection speeds that I am running with is well more than enough to withstand this but I have tried it on 3.0mbps down and 128kbps up and it works great also. If you are wondering how one comes up with $7.87 take $189.00 and divide by 24 because you are getting two years of service. The fees everyone complains about are different if you pay for the BOGO deal, because you pay for them all up front but the 911 and taxes which amount to $2.45 for me.

ViaTalk Review:

The company offers a good deal and decent sound quality and excellent features, but the billing department is so inept and smarmy that it destroys any good customer relations. The monthly bills do not identify the company in the heading so you are likely to ignore them as spam. The annual bills appear exactly the same as monthly bills, so you are likely not to notice you are being charged the annual $200 bucks instead of the monthly $2. Basically this allows them to debit you without any real warning. All this sneaky stuff makes them a company I do not wish to have access to my credit card account. I've dropped them for good!

The quality of customer service is substandard. Tech support most of the time is very poor. The quality of sound is not up other VOIP providers quality and clarity. Bottom line is I do not recommend the company and I will not renew my service with them.
